Insidious Issue with Failing Crank

Hey guys. My 1999 is being stubborn. It's failing to start on the first or second crank when it isn't warmed up. However, once started, no issues at all.

Codes that popped up are B2796, B2798, and B0101.

Yes, I have searched (and am searching more right now), I just wanted to get more, up to date answers from those who like to help others.

Codes may be related to another. The symptoms you mentioned indicate bad starter contacts. Don't replace the OEM starter for a reman starter as those are crap. Just replace the starter contacts (and inspect the plunger and if worn, replace it too). Both contacts cost no more than $15 from the dealer.
