On my SR5 2005 V6 my front calipers (4 pistons / half were froze) were stuck. Rebuilding them at a shop is a waste of time. There are 4 pistons on each 2005 4runner front brake caliper.

Shop around for remanufactured calipers. Your rear calipers are likely OK.

What year 4runner is yours? 2nd Generation?
Did you read post #10 at all? Front calipers are not going to fix anything that's going on with his rear brakes.

A leaking rear axle seal will cause all sorts of brake issues. Fluid leaks onto pads, pads swell, vibrations, sticking, etc ensue.

I'll look into this, thanks.

Thanks everybody for the help.

Post #10 is what the issue was for the OP. He had a rear brake Bell Crank frozen which was applying the drum brakes in the rear. If only people would take the time the read a entire thread. ;-) That was the issue for this users vibration problem.
