Fitting on valve cover supposed to be loose?

Was working on my 4runner and realized this 90 popped out of my valve cover. Slid right back in when I tried to put it back, it’s tight enough it seems like it will stay in there but I can pull it out by hand pretty easily. Is this right?

They get loose over time. If you can tap it lightly with a hammer or heavy socket wrench to keep it in that's good enough. It's not supposed to be glued or bolted or anything like that.
