Yikes.....those pics bring back some bad memories as I replaced heater core in my old Volvo 945 wagon years ago and that was truly a nightmare.
Love the wood stove, those crazy Swedes know how to live!

I tell you from the looks of things. You have to remove the dash and a pile of other things get the heater core out. It's in the center and barried really in there. I take a closer photo next time I am working on it to show folks.

Now the blower motor is extremely easy to get to..

My Cummins and grand Cherokee required the dash to be removed. I could do the truck in about 5 hours.

I was just spoiled of the old 80s truck. They cores were easier. I just saw how barried the heating core in this dash assembly. It's in there. Probably a video on it floating around the internet.

For the truck it was unplug a bunch of connectors, drop the steering column and unhook the temp control cable.

Work day on the Parts mobile with @RandyBobandy

Making great progress

The entire body harness is out. The heater core, Ac box and blend box is out. We have the entire body harness laying on the ground.

So soon we be pulling the engine out of it. As its Transmission and transfer case were removed years ago.

I think...
we just need to get a smelting furnace and a drop forge, big pile of taconite pellets.

pretty sure in a couple of days would be producing replication frames and or accessory parts.

Tetanus 1 got a new battery. Last one lasted 5 years. Not bad with this climate.

The new used hitched arrived for my 97 5 speed. A few coats of corroseal and kbs seal and that hitch will look brand new.

What’s the front drivers rocker panel look like?

Mine is going south. If you can cut the front 2ft out before you junk the body.......
