I would say it's a design flaw. All 3rd gens should have at least had the 199mm rotors with the tundra sequoia wider rotors on them . Well that's just my thought anyway.

Agree completely and have had same experience.
Replaced rotors & pads only 2-3K miles ago and already feeling the pulsation in front when applying brakes.
This is just under 7500 miles after installing new bearings/seals on rear axle and new drums/shoes as well as rebuilding bell cranks and properly adjusting parking brake.
Considering TBU but hesitating as I’ve heard others say might be problematic on 01-02 due to the more involved master cyl.
