OBDII mph

auto equipped with abs

Anyone know if the vehicle speed/MPH that shows in live data comes from vehicle speed sensor #2 (sp2+, sp2-) at the ecu or does the ecu use the signal from the wheel speed sensors or something else....

It uses the speed from the ABS computer. I forget which input it is. I went through figuring out which speed input is used when I installed a factory NAV unit and needed the speed input to make the NAV accurate.

More specifically, is uses the signal from the ABS computer that is processed by the gauge cluster and sent to the ECU from there. With more context, we can help you with whatever you are getting at...

Thanks, I have all the wiring info (alldata, ondemand) but there is nothing that said specifically that the ecu outputs the mph by blank or blank... so i was looking 4 clarification to help diagnose an issue i was having. I lost my mph under obdII but along with random loss of my gauge cluster. Had a hard code for my RF ASB sensor and no cruise but all the individual parts, wiring, and sensors tested good. Ended up being the elocker sp1 wire grounding...
