New Oil/Air Separator available for 3rd Gens

https://www.jlttruecoldair.com/jlt-3...-4runner-3-4l/

Interesting. I've always run oil separators on my previous Mustangs and F150 truck.

However, 4runners in OEM form without a separator have gone half a million miles..

May be better for the TRD blown guys, so they aren't getting engine oil in the intake path and on the supercharger rotors

It's good there's a kit for T4R's but there are much cheaper alternatives that work just as well. I have one for my 99 Mustang but haven't installed it yet. Mounting them in a good place seems to be the biggest part of the job.

Surprisingly, I didn't need one. I had a cheapo catch can on there for a year or so and ended up taking it off. All it collected was water vapor, not oil. If you have any sort of pre-injection like the URD 7th injector or water/meth, it isn't needed since the fuel pre-throttle body does a great job of cleaning what little oil does make it in. I had my intake off when I did the engine swap last year and my intake runners were so clean the aluminum casting sparkled.

Terrible location to mount it. Makes trying to change oil that much harder. Mine is right behind the air box. Maybe a couple of drops of oil every 1000 miles is the amount I find in it.
