Did your OME 891's sag?

Just put them in a few weeks ago and have kept about 15 psi in them since then, tho when I checked the other day they were at 10.

I just pumped them up to 40 psi yesterday for the hell of it to see if I’d gain height and how it would ride.

Here they are at 40 psi with probably 100 lbs in the back.

Looks like I’ve got a decent rake so I can probably raise my front coilovers a bit.

I’m going to be building a rear bumper soon too, so these airbags will def be necessary. If you’re going to have armor and carry weight then I don’t think the 891 will be good for maintaining 3” without airbags. I don’t think I even got 3 out of the box with hardly any weight in the back.

What all did you change when adding in the 861s? I was reading another thread and the consensus was you would need extended bump stops, extended brake lines, extended sway bar links, panhard correction kit (which is on my list, but..), and another thing or two.

Most of the things you list should be done regardless of which coils you install. I did install extended sway bar links, panhard drop bracket, and bump stop blocks. I did not install extended brake lines, but would recommend doing this.

You should also install land cruiser shocks or 4th gen 4runner bilsteins (rated for like 1.5” lift) to get the proper length for such tall coils.

I already have the bilsteins that are rated for 1.5-3" lift, but thank you for thinking of that!

Those are an inch shorter extended length than the 4th gen shocks if you are trying to use the full droop that the landcruiser 210V's would allow.
13.84"-22.84" vs 14.91"-23.50"

Would you guys mind listing the part numbers for the airbags you ordered? I've seen several threads with folks trying to find airbags with the right dimensions for OME 891s, so having that reference available would be awesome!

When getting the 4th gen shocks the owner does need to make sure bump stops are long enough (the collapsed length being 1” longer than 3rd gen). You wouldn’t want to blow the shock at full compression. That is sometimes overlooked area.

A shock rated for just 1.5” lift is shorter than a shock rated for 1.5-3” lift? I’m confused.

Stock 4th gen shocks are longer than stock 3rd gen shocks.
