Post-5Spd Swap, Which O2 Sensors to buy?

Auto to manual swap done by PO. ECU / Harness was never changed out. O2 sensors are going to shit, and looking up which ones to buy here: Find My Part

Should I match the ECU, so purchase sensors that align with an AT even though I'm technically a MT?

If the ECU was never changed out, you would have a ton of transmission related check-engine lights.

What year is your truck? CA or federal emissions?

As long as you get the right type of sensor (basic O2 or air-fuel, depending on year and emssions type), the only other difference would be harness length.

Exactly, except the screw-in types on the rear O2s for '01-02 as opposed to bolt-on flanged types for all other years..

Duh, I should have mentioned. Sorry-- 2000 4Runner, the trans is from a 98 but that doesn't matter. I'm not actually sure if it is cali or fed, keep meaning to check but I'm not actually sure how. The PO took the CEL bulb out from the dash, so I never noticed it was an issue until I went to register it and it failed emissions. Thankfully WA state allows you to get a waiver if you pay for $150 worth of 'emission improving repairs'. Figured the rusted up O2 sensors would be a good fix regardless to count towards the waiver.

If it has two cats, it's a Cali. Or, look at the emissions sticker under the hood. Ignore the verbiage. Look in the upper left corner under Engine Family. A Cali will say: " SFI, AFS, TWC(2), HO2S or similar. 49-state (FED) will say: SFI, TWC, HO2S(2) or similar.

Figure out if it is Cali or Fed, then get the appropriate 5spd sensor for a 2000. 5sp takes a slightly different length of cord.

The drama con't ... The PO also swapped the original hood for a sport hood w/ scoop. I can count the cats, and that should suffice?

Figured it out! It's Cali. Forgive the delayed response... My new endeavor has actually been to find a donor ECU. Either of you have much experience on this? Through other resources I have identified the exact part number match for my year/model ... I'm getting mixed messages thought. Is it plug and play? PO didn't touch the wiring harnesses or ecu if I am not mistaken
