285/75R16 with Bilstein 5100s.

I've seen a lot of differing opinions about what clears and what doesnt. Just sharing my setup with anyone that wants to run 33s. Bilstein 5100s fronts at top perch giving approx 2.5 inches lift, rear shocks installed with stock springs. (I have a 2000 SR5, I've read 01-02 are shorter stock?) Anyways, stock OEM 5 Star 16x7 on 285/75R16 X-COMP Gladiators. A centimeter of clearance from UCA with wheels positioned straight and less than that if not the slightest rub at full lock. I'm going to shave them down just a hair. Other than that zero issues at all. Thanks for looking guys. Have two pics of after lift and tires and one pic after lift before tires with stock size tires on.

Total cost was around 1400 including paying someone to compress and install springs and top plate from original shocks to the new 5100s and mounting / balancing. Tires were a little less than 850 from simple tire after tax with free shipping to my door. 5100s were $414 after tax with free shipping to my door off of Summit Racing website.

before anyone asks no I have not done a flex test for offroad yet to check clearance. I am totally in acceptance that additional work will more than likely be required to clear full flex offroad which I will more than likely do this spring as I live in Michigan and dont feel I'll be offroading too much in the snow. Coastal offroad has a great thread on mods to do to clear 35's with any ride height. I'll more than likely reference that source while making my mods.

Good info. Thanks for sharing. I have almost the exact same setup on my 97 with 285/75R16 BFG All Terrains on stock rims. I have just over 1/4" of clearance between tires and UCAs which is pretty close but no problems after several years with this setup. The BFGs must be a little narrower than the Gladiators.

For my clarification what front springs are you using? The 5100 shocks are they the 4runner or the tundra version (longer). If tundra I thought using the top perch was not recommended. (yes I know some have done it)

I went with 4runner struts with OEM springs. Just reused the springs from my original struts.

They must be, these Gladiators have a crazy sidewall with a tread of it's own! I hadn't heard of these tires untill a year and half ago I went to a local event and saw this group called Terra offroad and Wilkey Works running them and I thought the look was badass. Then I priced them out and they were 350 dollars cheaper than the toyos I wanted so i said screw it and tried them out. Road noise is extremely limited especially with my borla exhaust I cant hear them at all on the freeway. More slowing down than anything.
