Shocks and coil-overs - Identification

Hey Guys,

I bought the truck already lifted and do not have the details on what lift was installed. At this time I want to try and replace the lower strut bushing which appear to be shot. However I cannot tell which struts I have aside form them being Bilstein struts.

Any ideas on how to identify? Are OEM and aftermarket strut bushings identical?

Bilsteins will have a part number on the shock. From there, google is your friend.

Or post a detailed photo here (with part number visible, if possible) and we can try to help too.

If they look like this:

They are Bilstein 4600's, the 'basic' ones meant for non-lifted vehicles. If they are silver, like this:

They are 5100's. There are a few versions that fit, and they can be identified by the dust boot style and number of c-clip locations (though that's hard to see while assembled).

In all cases, there should be a part number on the sticker if it is still there...
