35's also fit. They normally have higher CCA's.

I too am leaning toward one battery, and the biggest one can physically fit. I like Dirtco's choice, here.

Edit/Add: As for me, I made a rather impulse purchase a couple years back while in The Home Depot, an Exide Global Extreme, 24FX.

Those specs, with a 40 month warranty, for 75 bucks, pretty good I felt...

35 is smaller than a 24, and usually has either the same or a little less juice.

27f is by far the easiest direct fit swap for a slightly larger battery. Slightly wider than 24f, same post oreintation and other dimensions are the same.

F is also reversed, not sure why they mark it that way. 24 has the terminals one way, 24f is the opposite.
