This sucks man. Hope they find it. Not a fun feeling.

My gl 550 was stolen last month. Worst part was my sons high end and custom catcher/baseball gear was in there. They never found it Someone just stole my 4runner

After reading your story the short wife went and had spare keys made. And uses the alarm more.

Made coffee come out my nose
The tall wife doesn't live here any more! The divorce took care of that danger.

First off, Awesome you got the rig back relatively unscathed.

In addition to a spare, I always keep a spare key on the rig. Its Velcro to a frame rail, you cant see unless you crawl under the rig but you can grab it if you know where to look.

Anyway, I love that thing. I intentionally lock my keys in the car when we are the river or somewhere it would really suck if I lost them. Has even come in handy to have family be able to pick it up from airport parking etc.

Funny story, I was flying out of LAX and traffic was horrible, ended up running out of time so I had to park in airport which was $35/day. My dad was flying in a couple hours later from a business trip. I had him grab my car out of the expensive lot, drive to the off-site parking (cheaper) where his car was at and swap it! Worked out great.

Moral of the story, get one of these. They are so worth it. (FYI I am from Camarillo and frequented silverstand often)
