Lower Control Arm Reinforcements (LCAR)

I forgot to tell you guys - I finally put my lower control arm reinforcement kits into production and they turned out pretty great.

I drew these up because some of the go-fast guys kept cracking their LCAs when they suspension bottoms out - and fully fabricated arms are cost-prohibitive for a lot of folks.

Basically there's an upper reinforcement that ties the forged LBJ arm, the rivets, and the bump stop pad together to remove flexing from the top side of the arm when you hit the bump stop; a lower reinforcement that triangulates and ties the LBJ arm and rivets to the LCA as well; and a skid plate for the lower reinforcement to help the arm slide up and over obstacles.

Paired with the Strut Tower Reinforcement Kit (STK), I think this is about as far as one could go to reinforce and armor up the factory LCAs.

Looking good, been waiting on this info.
Will you be using roller bearings, cone bearings, bushings for pivot point?
Left or Right side pivot ? both ?

Tapered roller bearings with seals, will be making mounts for either side.

get the mount ID right the first time, plus the belief that they'll see very little wear versus the environment they are designed for..?

they can definitely be shimmed for wear as needed as time passes.

Anwar just welded this kit onto his 4runner. He posted some pictures on Instagram a couple days ago. Maybe Keith saved some of them so he can post here.

They look good!!! Love your products @eimkeith keep up the good work brother!

Here are the shots Anwar sent me:

On that last one, he got the skid plate a little low - should meet the top of the reinforcement bracket.
(strong either way, but I’m a details guy).
