Our ECU uses HEX (base 8) for all its programming.
When the SG first came out their was a PDF and booklet that explained the custom programming. It broke down the transmit, receive, math etc to explain. It should still be out their.
In the TXD and RDF the 06 is the memory address of the parameter. The math etc breaks out the data from a 16 bit word and turns it into something useful.
I just edited the main post and corrected the data to reflect what works for my 97.

I tried a couple of the suggestions you guys made and didn't have any luck.
So I made the following change:
FROM:
TXD: 686AF10114
RXF: 0441 0514
RXD: 2808
MTH: 05B905000000
NAME: A/F (Air Fuel Ratio) (157)
TO:
TXD: 686AF10114
RXF: 0441 4514
RXD: 2808
MTH: 05B905000000
NAME: A/F (Air Fuel Ratio) (1.57)
So I am getting the "." closer to where it needs to be (see pic below) was this just dumb luck our am I actually on to something? If I'm on to something - can you make a suggestion for a change that would move the "." over one more space?

I found one that works for my 1999 / CA Emissions / 2 Cat
TXD: 686AF10114
RXF: 044145140000
RXD: 2808
MTH: 05B900800000
NAM: A/F (14.7)
I believe my issue was that I was not refreshing the gauge when making an adjustment to it. I'm sure I tried this one yesterday but today I added it to a new location from scratch and it is delivering the format correctly - i.e. 14.7

Cool. So now that
@ TRD 4RNR
solved their issue. I'm running the same codes in my SG2 for my 99 fed/can 4runner ( other than I named it AFR) . As some of you know I'm chasing a misfire. I'm trying to get an idea of what my fuel system is doing.
My question is I know the readings given are delayed and random. But what numbers are you getting normally? My truck fluctuates as low as 4.8 all the way up to 18.2. I know 14.7 is ideal. I'm just concerned at how accurate those low readings are...
To give an example. The gauge throws new readings every couple seconds. So mine will read something like...
14.2
16.4
7.8
11.8
18.2
4.2
12.7
6.1
Is this normal ? Am I really that off on my A/F ratio?
Bonus question: Anyone know the gauge settings for bank 1 short and long term fuel trims? I'm not getting any readings with the settings I've used.

Watch the O2 bank 1 sensor 1 on your SG put your (AF and O2 on top of each other) and compare then. 14.7 AF should equal .50v. A lower AF equals a higher O2 voltage.
When you go wide open throttle what does your AF do?
The PIDs on scangauge website work for the LTFT and STFT for me. However, the STFT doesn’t mean much of anything troubleshooting wise.

If your ECU doesn't have the front AFR sensor (uses standard O2 sensors), then all bets are off. Regular O2 sensors will basically only be able to tell you rich or lean, but not by how much.
