I cant believe you had to block your radiator to get your temp up just a few degrees.
My Temperatures, Are running very close to yours. Being we are in the same state with almost identical weather { about 4 hours apart} this will make sense and also proves that the temp sensors are accurate without having to go find a temperate gun.
My average is about 188 degrees F. :-) I am blocking nothing and my radiator is probably about 6 to 8 years old. ;-)
