Stock height vs lifted comparison

I bought a lifted truck recently and I'm told there's a 3"suspension with a 1" body for roughly 4" total of lift. I measured the front center of hub to fender and I'm at 22 7/8". What's a stock third gen measure from center of hub to bottom of fender? I'm starting to think the previous owner was mistaken. I just ordered 315s to put on because I'm told you can run them with a 4" lift and some manipulation of the pinch welds. Am I screwed here? Tires have to go on as these current ones are dry rotted something fierce (BFG K0). Any and all input is appreciated as I'm new to third gens and they're slightly different from my 5th gen.

Pic of said third gen below.

20” hub to fender is stock height so you’re about 3” total. You can fit 315’s with 3” of lift but you’re going to be doing a bunch of cutting and possibly some wheel well tubbing to make them clear if you wheel your rig.

Yeah that's kinda what I figured. I should mention current tires are 295s and no rub normal driving and I have the ARB front bumper for a little more clearance. I've been thinking about switching out the OME stuff and going to the Tacoma 4" front lift with 3.5" rear Jeep coils. I imagine that would give me the extra bit of clearance I need?

I’m not sure what the Tacoma 4” lift and Jeep coils you’re referring to is, but if you do in fact have a 1” BL, you could raise the 2” of suspension lift in the front to make 3” suspension and 1” BL.

Like @Dezert4Runner said, you should plan to tub the wheel well to actually fit 315s in the front. Additional suspension lift won't clear bigger tires (except at ride height). The 1" body lift will help some. If you don't plan to wheel it then you may be able to hammer the pinch welds and get away with it. But they will probably rub when you turn/hit bumps. Get one tire mounted, pull the coilover and cycle the suspension/turn the tire to see what you are getting yourself into.
