Rust Proofing Places in South Central PA.

When I google this topic I only come up with one company near me. It’s Zeibart out of Quakertown PA. Which is 45 miles away. I’m 20 miles west of Reading PA.

Does anyone know of an alternative?

When I replaced my rear shocks I didn’t like what I seen. I removed the dirt and rust from the upper shock mounts wire brushed some things and for now sprayed some Amsoil metal protector on everything.

I also should remove the rear bumper and replace the mounts and sand blast the back side of everything and repaint.

Do you have a garage and a garden sprayer? You can do it yourself. I heat up fluid film and spy the undercarriage of my vehicles. Fairly easy to do and you will probably do a better job as you care about your ride.

In my area, we have many places that do it. Any mom and pop garages around your neck of the woods? Some of them may do undercoatimgs.

I quick Google search brings up.

I used this on everything from the rear lower control arm mounts back. It smells exactly the same as the StaBal product of a similar name I’ve used in the past. I can continue doing it myself as time allows........

Never used that one. I have used all kinds of things in the past.

My favorite is Fluid Film it's the best I found for creeping around the steel getting into areas you can never actually spray and the fact it never gets hard.

Others use all kinds of things:
WD-40, used oil, bar chain chainsaw oil, mineral oil. Transmission fluid, Rick Fennell undercoating, PFC undercoating, Cosomoline. Probably 25 other things as well. :]

I can see folks using that. They sometimes use that to seal cement bridges.

Anything that displaces water and oxygen from the steel will work. It's a shame we live in the rust belt and all they have to do is quit using salt, calcium on the roads. I am surprised as crazy as the EPA is they let the state do that. We probably have a better chance of getting hit with lightning then seeing them stop using it though. :[

You ever clean out the inside of your frame? Sadly in the rust belt, we rust from inside out. Might want to try to get something in the inside of it. As you dont want it to rust out and have to rebuild the frame rails. As you can see on my build thread how time consuming it can be. :]
