The rust belt is hard on all vehicles. Especially the ones that the owners do nothing to the undercarriage of the chassis.
I bet Ohio is full of extreme rust buckets as that state doesn't have inspections. Ever see a vehicle bend from being extremely rotted out yet?
Heck I seen a few busted frames trucks driving around here. No way are those vehicles have legal inspections on them.. As in PA a rust hole in the a frame is instant failure of a state inspection.
The 4 runners do last and run a very long time. Most of mine previous Toyotas rotted to nothing before they quit running.
