Exclamation East Coast Gear Supply = 7.5" Clamshell Bushing

Received my order yesterday and test fitted the bushing. I'm a bit bugged out the fact that it has a little bit of play. I called ECGS tech support questioning my concerns about the play. The guy said it is normal to have the play. Anyone here running it and have any issues? Let me know how your bushing is holding up to?

Thanks,
John

mine went in perfect and snug, had to tap it in. only have a couple hundred miles on mine so... can't answer to the long run. I also put mine in the freezer so it would go in easier.

you might want to take a look @mtbtim vid?

YouTube

I'm not sure if your asking about install or with CV in?

this is where they test the CV connection

Yes, it is a bit hard to decipher exactly what OP is saying.

I found the ECGS bushing to be quite tough to drive in. For sure a firm fit in the clamshell. The CV went back in with no issues and nearly 0 movement once reassembled. I've got 7,000 km on it now and still nearly 0 movement on the CV.

Hope this helps OP.

I test fitted the bushing when I had the axle out. I should have taken a video. But forgot.
