3rd Gen Windshield Sun Shade?
I had been using my wife's old reflective windshield screen that fits ok. It has some goofy Asian cartoon character on it too... Time to get my own, finally.
What out there is a good fit for us? From a post on another forum, the dealership has something that fits perfectly for like 20 bucks?
Thanks.

I'll have to find the link but I bought one that was made in the USA that was made for our 4runners. Though the fit is a bit tight, it is super effective.
Was like... $45 I think? You can find them on amazon.

I just get the wallymart variety for about $10, something like this:
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Motor-Tre...Sizes/54406922
The flip/fold up quick for storage behind passenger seat (easy reach for driver).
Luck and enjoy the Runner.

Tony in my 4Runner I use one of the reflective 'circular to square' collapsible kind. It was rated as Small I believe but I bought it a long time ago somewhere. I do have one of the custom fitted roll ups from Toyota Parts for another Toyota I own (a Prius) and it's very nice. The only issue is it's a bit large to deal with and store when it's rolled up if you have passengers in the back seat. But as a heat blocker/reflecter and insulator it's fantastic. I haven't ever thought to look for a fitted one for our 3rd gens but if someone does make one I'd be tempted to check it out. Waiting to see what jross20 comes back with.

At 50 bucks to the door, I'll likely pass on that one though. Again, thanks for finding it...

I've been using the colapsable sun shades for years. I like how they quickly fold down and fit between the seat and center armrest. Usually on the passenger side.

I use this. Windshield Sun Shade Perfect size to fit back in the pocket protector behind the front passenger seat.
Since it is a size small, its not a total pain in the ass to setup, you get faster at it. I have for my lancer, its an XL, when i open that thing it deploys like a damn air bag lol.
takes 10 seconds maybe to put in? wrapping it up even faster. Just like the fact i can put it in the pouch behind the seats. You cant do that well with those hard holding ones. I got a "nice" one for my wifes 2020 4runner, the heat tech one actually, you have to lay out on the floor when your done. The only thing "nice" about is the fact it "feels" nice.

That might be what I go with. Nice to know the small fits our 3rd gen well. Thanks much.
