Cast iron vs tube manifolds - any benefit?

In the process of my engine replacement. The donor is an 04 engine from a Tacoma, still complete with all accessories and exhaust and crossover pipe

My 97 4runner has the cast manifolds, the 04 engine has the factory tube ones. The cat connection is differnt, the 97 has the two tubes and the 04 one has the single round connection

Are there any flow benefits of the later ones on the taco engine? Versus me swapping the factory manifolds?

I have a supercharger as well if that makes a different

Typically a cast manifold is going to hold up better to heat cycling than a tubular one.

Not sure you're going to pull any power out of the vehicle by swapping manifolds though.

4 cylinder or 6? The Tubular manifold was definitely an upgrade for the 2.7 A few more horsepower than the cast iron one and no cracking in the middle cylinders

I've never seen or heard anybody talking about the V6 manifolds, it actually wasn't until recently I found out they updated them. Since the cast manifolds don't crack on the V6s like the 4 cylinders tended to, I'd guess that any gains from swapping them out wouldn't really be worth the headache.

its a 6cyl. seeming like it would be pointless to keep the tube ones and have to make a new downpipe attachment flange. gonna just get the gaskets and swap manifolds over then
