Who else hates?

Who else hates when their 4runner is clean? Don't get me wrong, a nice neat rig is tits. I just don't want to wash away all of her glory.

I like it when mine is clean, because she likes it when I clean her and give her some TLC (like detailing the inside and putting 303 Protectant on the dash and interior vinyl). I could swear that I hear her purring and whispering to me, "JR numma one. I so hawny. I love you long time", after I clean her. As they say, when momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy. I like to keep her happy, because she takes care of me too.

Being Desert Dune Metallic in color (sort of a tan), I rarely ever have to wash her. She just simply does not show daily dirt. The only time she ever appears dirty is when red Georgia clay gets on her paint. I LOVE that paint color, for that reason.

I am OCD, but not terribly so in the clean arena. I am more at the "reasonable" level of OCD about that. But I do keep my engines clean. I believe a clean engine is a happy engine. I get somewhat of a boner when I pop the hood and don't see any grease, grime or gunk inside. Plus, it is much, much easier to identify and locate any problems when you can instantly see fresh fluids that should not be there.

I call my T4R a her, and I need to name her. My odometer will turn over into the 200 club in around 100 miles. She and I have been through a lot in the 11 or 12 years that I have owned her. I just haven't come up with a fitting name for her.

Try having OCD. It sucks.

After wheeling, the first thing I am looking for is one of those coin-operated DIY pressure washers to blast all of the loose mud and dirt off.

And then it gets a proper 2-bucket wash at home with the pressure washer foam cannon..

i have issues.

I dont hate it when my rig is clean, I'm just lazy to clean it. Every time I'm at the offroad park or hunting trips, my doors come off. You can imagine how dirty we are talking about. Exterior, I just hose it down here and there, get some of the crud out.

I actually do like it when its spotless, minus all the paint scratches from shrubs. But it's been quite sometime since. I do all regular maintenance to her, so I'm assuming she still loves me the same.

Mine is Metallic Midnight Black. I live in rural AZ.
It will never be clean.
We have no grass or pavement within 5 miles of us. Washing it at home makes a muddy mess. If I wash it in town, it's dirty by the time I get home.
I do use the air gun to blow the dirt off the back. We have a wash bay at work (truck driver) so I occasionally power wash the wheel wells after mudding my way to the highway to get to work when it rains.
I wear my dirt and scratched paint (Arizona pinstripe) with pride.

I live in a rural area with lots of dusty dirt roads. I grew up on a dirt road so keeping vehicles clean was a waste of time. I wash my vehicles now more then I ever did and that's only once in a while.

So it depends on your environment and where you live. :]

I like clean cars but a dirty interior is way worse. I am constantly cleaning vacuuming the inside of my cars with 2 little ones. Dirty shoe prints on door sills, eating, drinking, empty cups wrappers in the car etc but have to live with it and do what I can. Kids finger drawing on frosted windows or dirty exterior. It's fun for them so you tend to just take a deep breath.

Gotta be clean, especially the inside. Winter sucks because it's constantly covered in grime and splatters up the sides, summer sucks because it's constantly dusty from farm equipment clouds. I'm not OCD and I don't detail it spotless, but I like having it clean.

I am wondering if the desire to have it spotless is just personality traits. Like the super A personality trait. Of course some of traits are learned behaviors. There is nothing wrong with keeping vehicles spotless just like there is nothing wrong with keeping them covered in mud.

My environment dosent help my cause. However, I cant stand junk or garbage in them. I am sure some people only have enough space for the driver too. Wouldnt work for me but if it works for others so be it.

Hate is a strong word, I try not to use it.

Now clean vehicles are Super Cool. I don't really care if the outside of Your vehicle is dirty or not yet the inside had better be neat and clean. Just like mine of course!

Luck and enjoy those Toyotas. : ^ )))))

The worst vehicle interior is my Wifes truck, or anything she drives.
We have to spend 5-10 minutes making room for passengers.
