I had to do a super cheap lift to get off the bumps when I finished the f150 tank swap. So I'll add from my post above:
Rear
891's rear
Kyb lc80 rear shocks with frame mounts drilled
Extended brake line
Ebrake bracket diy
1" bump stop spacers
2nd gen t4r sway bar end links
10mm trim pack on pass side
22" hub to flare both sides full tank minus 1" body lift.

It's really flexy, and I love how the rear feels; softness vs dampening. But it's starting to sag, which is disappointing.

Front
Stock springs (yuck)
4runner billies (24-248730, don't like them but we're beyond cheap and adjustable).
Diff drop
2nd gen 4runner sway bar end links
22.75" hub to flare minus 1" body lift

Rides stiff up front dampening doesn't match rear, but was cheap and only option I had.
With the additional weight you have compared to me (roof rack, rear storage loaded with gear full-time, spare in stock position) the 210's should still work nicely. These springs give when they need to in my experience.

As for the front, get you some 6112's! I feel like my setup has given this rig so much predictability and stability. I've been building it for overlanding more than rock crawling, so keep that in mind when considering my opinion.

I'll dig into the 6112's. I too am building more for overland, my pocket book isn't deep enough for rock crawling. Yeah I want to say with the f150 tank it has helped a ton with stability/balance. But it's like having a fully loaded storage platform. Which I still need to build lol. The rear 891's with my weight have fully compressed the dead or progressive coils. And upon further inspection I see signs of the coil coming out of its pocket.

Yikes! Before switching out my 890's I was nearly riding on the extended Durobumps! Lol

Im running 890s in the back. Do you think those LC80 shocks you have would be too long at full droop for me even if I extend bumpstops? I heard 890s are longer than 891s but I'm not 100% sure

Hmm I'm not 100% sure about to much droop, the 2 issues are to much droop dropping a coil spring, and the shock bottoming out before it hits the bump stop. I can't tell you how I came up with how much I needed to extend the bumps. I probably need to extend more. But planning on buying the duro bumps soon.

But everything is on hold at the moment, just got news today that they are closing down my work permanently on 12/31. Boo.

New to the 3rd gen forum, we just picked up an 01 as a backup vehicle for Baja.

I read through all the posts but couldn’t find what I’m looking for. We’d like a progressive/variable rate rear coil designed for stock/light loads. 2” lift max, ideally less. Does this coil exist? Thanks everyone.

Eibach claims to have a 1” lift coil. No info on load rating though. Beyond that I’d say the ome 890 but it would likey be more than 2 inches of lift with no load.

Ironically I just pulled my 890s out today to put in some LC 7.5 wraps. I was already well through the low rate with the amount of weight I’ve got back there. I know they’ve got a lower rate but they have a better free height so I netted 2” more ride height and I’ll just re-valve the kings a little tighter. At least until I can grab some 210v coils.

Edit: I think toytec also have a variable rate labeled to be what you’re looking for. Light to no load variable rate with only 2” lift.

Very curious to hear the differences from you because it looks like we might have a similar weight situation out back sans auxiliary tank but you may have more in the cargo than I do.

we typically spend 95% of our time on highway or gravel roads. I realized, with previous experience on our 03 Tacoma, that the damping on the King coilovers and Bilstein rear shocks was excellent while rolling fast down rough roads and trails, but way too under damped on the highway.
on our 4Runner, I went for Moog 81041 springs in the rear, Moog 81088 springs up front, with KYB heavy duty monotone shocks all around. next was new lower track arm bushings from Siberian Bushings, for a fantastic tight, firm ride that is still acceptable for our low speed offload action.
these Moog springs were for the Highlander version of the 4Runner, with about an inch more ride height than our Limited had as stock.

The ride is a lot more plush, a course my shocks aren't anything like yours. I'm on 210v paired with Foxs 2.0 from a Tundra. No more bottoming out compared to before a bit tighter on corners but overall the weight is what I wanted most. Which the 210v seem to do very well as for now. We will see it how it does after I abuse it on the Trails here in Fresno!

did you have to use any trim packers to make ride level side to side ? wonder what the life is of the coils. I had KYB gas adjust with the "toyota" talls and only got about 50k out of the rear shocks, but springs lasted. I assume you meant monomax on the kyb's
