The only thing that caught my eye that was different (on their website) was that it said it's progressive. Have these been around for a while? This is the first I've heard of them.
I believe the $190 2" Dobinsons coils listed on Amazon are actually the C59-222V, not the C59-210v. The 210v are a stock height coil.

And Dobinsons isn't a new company, just 'new-ish' to the US market. I've been running the Dobinsons C59-137v 2in coils on my 3rd gen for 2+ years and they have been really solid for retaining comfort unloaded and then holding 600lbs of cargo and passengers with minimal sag. If I hadn't switched over to LC rear shocks for the 'long travel' i would stick with the 137v. The 137v will fall out with extended shocks (even with 1in spacers).

As for the potential benefits of the 210v, they are all speculative right now unless someone who has run them can chime in. But they are side specific to help with the driver's side lean, and 'should' offer a similiar lift as the LC coils unloaded. With the initial coil rate of 187# they should ride decently well without weight, but then when loaded you'll end up in the 217# section (similar to the OME861). So theoretically they are a blend of the LC coils for comfort and unloaded height, but can take weight like the OME861 without the ridiculous ride height.

I have a set of 210v on back order so I'll be a guinea pig for the 210v. Unfortunately they are on back order until May, so you'll have to wait.

Who did you order from? I'm assuming they are waiting on Dobinson to make another run of them.

I've ordered all of my coils from Dobinson's Direct USA. I've had a few calls with them in the last month and it sounds like the whole Covid 19 pandemic is causing supply chain issues/shipping issues.

Here's the link to the C59-210V I was referring to in my other post.

Yep I run them. Had them for 6 or 7 months now. I really like them, rides like my 7 wraps with the same lift but way less body roll and handle weight good. No issues flexing them out either. And they stay tight even with my long travel 3 linked rear

Timely thread as I'm looking to refresh the tired suspension on my 2000. What's the difference between the Dobinson C59-131 vs. C59-137v other than load capacity? The 131 is listed as standard load while the 137v is listed as heavy load. Are the free heights the same?

Looking at Dobinsons' catalog, the C59-131 is listed as a raised replacement for a 90 series Prado, which is the equivalent to our 3rd gens here. On the other hand, the C59-137v is listed as a raised replacement in the Landcruiser section of the catalog.

I'm wondering if the C59-131s would correlate more closely to '99 talls, while the C59-137v could be thought of as a OME 906 equivalent.

I believe the Dobinsons would provide a better ride than both for my application.

I spoke with Mike at Exit Offroad and learned that the 131 is a linear rate coil, while the 137v is a progressive rate coil. I opted for these instead of '99 talls and OME 906s. Will update with ride quality once I get them installed.

Thank you so much for posting this! I just placed an order as well. $190 and used the promo fs2020 for free shipping. Seemed to have another set as I haven't been notified that they are out of stock.

Please take before/after measurements! I am curious what kind of height these net without any gear loaded.

I think I am about 5 weeks out on my bumper so it'll be a while. I currently have 891's with a 10mm packer in the rear but when I throw a couple hundred pounds back there it doesn't hold like I want it to, so i'm hoping these will be my perfect springs.

Anyone have any updates on how the 210v's are? My 4runner came with the rough country lift and i'd like to get something better so i'm looking for new springs and shocks. The 210v's look like they might be pretty good for what I plan on doing to my 4runner.

I got ready to pull the trigger on some 861s this week but found this thread. My brother and I each have 3rd gens that are very similar and both of us are looking for a 3-3.5" lift with bumpers, swingouts, sliders, and 80-100 lbs. or more of gear. I've also been preparing to move my rear shocks outside of my frame. After finding and reading over this thread, I remembered AssBurns's build thread where I saw he's running stock JL coils in the rear for about 2" of lift with a pretty beefy looking bumper and I'm not sure how much other weight, so maybe an aftermarket JL coil could be a viable option. I'm not sure how to tag him though, but maybe he could offer something else... I'm also very interested to hear how the Dobinsons fit and handle weight.
