Anybody know how much extra weight the OME 890s are rated for? Just curious, since I can't find much beyond just listing them as "medium duty"

The 890 has a spring rate of 190 pounds, compared to the 891 rate of 210 pounds. Those are the 3” coils. The 2906 are 220 but only a 2 inch lift.

Just Picked up some 891s for my settup, planning to lift next week. Have a hunch its gonna be pretty rough a lot of the time, but seems like the 891s are just a stellar choice from everything I've read.

Awesome, thank you. I won't be running any serious extra weight in the rear for quite some time, so I don't need the heavy coils - but I would like to stiffen the ride some. I've heard great things about the 890s, just never got a spring rate
Seems to be lots of debate around OME coils, I'm learning

Here's what the 210v's look like with no weight. Got some rake but will be adding quite a bit of weight in the future so I figured i'd just get them now so I don't have to change them out later.

What's your hub to fender measurement in the rear? How much additional weight do you currently have in the rear?

On the drivers side I measured about 25.5" and the passenger about 26.5". I have zero weight in the rear right now in this picture. Even my hitch is off and have a empty tank of gas. Need to load it up with some everyday carry gear and i'll also have a roof rack and rooftop tent on it soon. So all of that should add around 200lbs. Then i'll be getting a rear bumper with tire carrier sometime in the future.

Thanks for the measurements! That's a substantial difference between driver and passenger. I'm assuming you installed them according to the picture which was for a right hand drive which should have the same drivetrain/fuel tank configuration as a left hand drive. Have you considered swapping coil sides to see if it makes a difference?

Yea I put the taller spring that was labeled left on the drivers side so idk why it's lower. I'll measure it again after I drive around for a while and see if it changes.

I've never seen that plastic trim on and along the bottom on the doors. Is that a JDM thing? It really adds to the look

You’ve never seen a “limited” package 3rd gen 4runner???

Must be not many 3rd gens around your AO. Where I live you could hardly throw a rock without hitting one.

No no, it's like that way across all of WA - truly a sight to behold
Just the chances of seeing on stock is very slim - sometimes it hard to find one on OEM susp./ride height! And given my running boards sold for $250 it seems like OEM stuff is few-and-far in between

Because it does. Look up Toyota's "left lean" - huge problem with Toyota and these vehicles were some of the most prominent. There are a few ways to fix it, such as trim packers. Its such a problem many lift kits will level it for you with the coils themselves, or offer packers/spacers in the package (only gets worse as you get higher).
BTW I've been using those coils for the past few months/~1000mi (along with the Moog front pair). They're a little softer than OEM, but they'll do. Didn't settle much, and still sits level - just a lil squishy as times.
