so your tundra/ billies on bottom perch are handling the weight of the ARB ok and no tire hitting ? I ask because I will plan to do similar with the arb and a winch in front and have been reading different reports on what perch to set it too.
thanks

I do get some rubbing at full turn when wheeling, but daily driving is fine. I'm going to tub the front end enough for future 35's as soon as I have the time, but hammering the pinch weld and trimming some plastic has worked very well for my setup. Just for reference I have a CBI hybrid with full hoops and a Smitybilt X2O 10,000 lbs. with the synthetic rope. Tires are 285/75/16 Maxxis Bighorns. Wheels are Procomp 7069. The CBI is less than 100 lbs. and even with the winch the front isn't much lower than before. I don't know how much the ARB weighs, but if you haven't already seen them there are a couple videos worth checking out. Also, I recommend getting UCA's when lifting. I have Camburgs, however SPC's have an adjustable ball joint.
As far as which perch for the 5100's, it's better to leave it on the bottom and get a coil that suits your needs. The Tundra coils are progressive and adding preload will change how they behave.
Timmy The Toolman has an awesome YouTube channel!

You ever do any digging or experimenting with this? Can I ask what led you to believe this? Sounds very appealing

How are they holding up? Do you like them more than the 891s/how do they compare so far? Very interested, hearing lots of sagging complaints with 891s

How strong as the 210v? I assume not very if they're taller than 891s AND provide less lift
How is it there are so little options for the rear

Read what you quoted from ClimbsTrees in your post #154. They are taller than 891's AND provide more lift.

How can I go about getting just a 1 inch lift with Bilstein 24-249966? I plan on getting the matching fronts and leave the stock springs on, but I cannot find info for the rears for such a marginal lift.
DS motorsport has all 4 shocks now for 375

Shocks won't give you lift, you'll need springs. I have 5th gen springs on mine, gave me 1.5in of lift all around.

Hey, so it's been a week with the Dobinsons and so far I like them a lot! Now, I am waiting on some Bilstein 33-187174 shocks from 4Wheelparts and bump stops from Sonaoran Steel, so I haven't been off road yet. The shocks have been sitting at a dock in Dallas for over a week and I wish I could just drive over there and pick them up. I should get a call any day now. They feel a bit like the 891 coils if not slightly stiffer and seem to handle my bumper, spare, hi-lift, jerry can and recovery gear (maybe around 330 lbs.) even better! I run without the stabilizer bar and with the extra 2 inches of lift there is slightly more body roll when turning. With the 891's and the 10mm trim pieces it was at 22.5". With the 210v's and no 10mm trim pieces it's at 24.5". both with the internal cone bump stops. The blue looks great, too!

What were your coils/shocks up front again? Looks pretty good, might just shoot for these if they don't offer something closer to 3in, it's a little more rake than I like but this is becoming a headache
Edit: nevermind, just saw it's TRD/Tundra 5100. Keep us posted

Thanks for the review and update. I'm really liking the stance! Any reason you went with FJ Cruiser/4th Gen 4Runner shocks over Tokico Blacks for an FJ80? I haven't run either, but from my research it seems Tokico Blacks for an FJ80 dampen additional weight better.

^^ seconding this, would also like to know how they compare. I originally wanted the Bilsteins but they're back ordered everywhere and might go with Tokicos instead
God this is becoming a royal pain. The more I reread this thread I'm thinking 210v's or Superflexes might be the ticket but I wont be rocking a tire carrier for another couple months and the rake might be pretty bad with TRD coils/5100s. Maybe? idk at this point it might pay to say f*ck it and just make a commitment
