Am I able to swap the 5speed and elocker from his 4Runner into mine, but at the same time keeping the existing transfer case and the center locking differential? I’ve read most of the other swaps, so I have a general idea of what all needs to be swapped, but since they are the same year is it necessary to swap the ECU?

I have a 2000 SR5 5 speed with the J-shift. I swapped in an 4.30 gear e-locker this summer and am planning on swapping the multi-mode t-case eventually. Same same... but different. haha
