Make BUMPER TURN SIG. also function as MARKER LIGHT?

This is a question I had been meaning to pose for my last couple of visits here...there's a thread currently active which I thought had beat me to it, but I see it's just the opposite of my intention, so in the interest of not taking it off on a tangent...

What I would like to have is for my bumper turn signal ( '99 Base model ) to also function in conjunction (ha ha) with the marker light. I saw a picture on Farcebook from East Coast Toyota showing this as a reality (yes I stole the pic) but I contacted them and they professed to know nothing about it. Is this a standard feature on other year or trim level T4R's? If there exists a dual filament bulb socket which would mate with the housing the wiring would of course be a piece of cake...anyone done this or have any info?...

would be simple to buy a scrapyard light housing, cut out the bulb/socket from it and install into your current housing. (you would then have two bulbs in that housing). Wire it up to the signal light, and good to go.

Look at the wiring diagram in post #10 and inverse it. HOW TO: Turn Signal / Marker Light Combo WITHOUT Drilling into Marker Light Housing

Wouldn't even have to go that far. You could drill a hole in the housing for a decent sized LED bulb and hot glue or silicone it in. Wire it to the markers and bang, you're now lit up more than a Democrat on Twitter.

Looking closely at the light in the picture, to me it looks like they have multiple light bulbs in that light

Flosser Pigtail Wire 2644 Female Socket 7443 Two Harness Front Turn Signal Plug | eBay almost a direct fit, takes a few seconds to trim a tab or two. There are cheaper alternatives but these are like OEM in quality and fit.

They use 7443 bulbs, the dual-filament version of the existing 7440 already in your signals. Red wire to turn signal +, black to turn signal -, white wire to the parking light + from the corner lights.

At's what I'm talkin' about Ed...I just knew there had to be a dual filament socket that would be a close fit. Cheap too!! And my lens is clear with the amber diffuser, so this should cover all bases...
