Not so skinny here Fat Biking during MN winter.
Anyhow I just unbolted my running boards and carried them into the house one in each hand for weighing just for shits and grins, Combined weight of boards, bolts, hanging brkts 28 lbs.
Granted the weight was suspended between the front and rear axles so I am going to figure 14lb reduction on front axle and another 14lb reduction on the rear.
Going to try going boardless for awhile and then decide come spring whether to mount the boards again or chuck them in the trash, Right now I am liking the boardless look and the weight reduction is a bonus.
