Decent review of OTC tools. I knew they made the sst tools for Toyota as I have the otc tool for the early 80s front axle nuts.

Nothing like have a car crash in front of your shooting video. Glad to see nobody was injured.

Tim and Shawn keep up the good work. Your videos have helped a pile of DIY repair their 3rd gen 4runners.

Tim, just want to say thank you for all of the videos and fantastic work you do. Since picking up my 3rd gen last summer I've done my 30k service, radiator and transmission cooler, lbjs, shocks and springs, TBU and now I have parts on order to fix my leaky rear axle seal. Wouldn't be able to do all this without your clear and easy to follow videos. Thanks again and keep up the good work!

thanks for the video, I'm preparing to do my drum brakes on my corolla and 4runner so I went ahead and bought the drum brake kit.

In the video we made for doing the drum brakes on a 3rd Gen 4runner, I found the spring tool works ok for getting the return spring off but it's a little hard to get the return spring back on. I pinned a comment sharing the technique I like better using a phillips head screwdriver.

I have a similar spring tool, not OTC and had the same issue. I just muscle it with a pair of needle-nose Vise-Grips. Anyway, I don't think it's OTC's fault; it's the layout of the Toyota drum somehow.
