Restored Fog Lights

A little more work on Project SportRunner this week. When doing the LED swap over I found the fog lights had tons of galvanic corrosion. Mine are the dealer add on type that were put on SR5 3rd gens made by Hella. They're probably 17 years old and have been great. You can get replacements from DEPO that are factory style, but I like the Hella bracket design better. Hella brackets for the 3rd gen are no longer available, but the Micro De lamps are so I picked up a pair new and restored the old ones as spares.

I have a call in to Hella for replacement parts, we'll see where that goes.

DEPO Factory Style: Amazon.com: Depo 312-2012L-AQ Toyota 4Runner Driver Side Replacement Fog Light Assembly: Automotive

Jb weld high temperature on my muffler flange with a new gasket and it's not leaking.

Lol.. we tried to jb weld a rotor tiller housing that was cast iron about 20 plus years ago. That didn't work. However, that expoxy did with well in the gravely tractor hubs that the keys were too hard and egg the woodruff's keys and axle hubs. So we drilled the axles put new keys in. Mixed up the weld and those axles held for has to more then 10 years closer to 15 years.

It's not the fix for everything. However it does come in handy from time to time.

Rally Lights, Hella, TerraTrip, Hans, WRC, ZAMP may have the bulb clips, shoot them an email. They had some hardware I needed for discontinued Hella driving lamps, they may have MicroDE parts too.
