How much more lift do I need to fit 285/75/16 if I have 99 springs?

I have a 99 Highlander and confirmed I have 99 coils. If I want to keep my existing coils and just add spacers, how much extra lift will I need to fit 285/75/16 so that there is no rubbing?

Right now I have 265/75/16 and when I turn my wheel, I have about an inch clearance from my inner fender.

Lift isn’t what clears tires.
Massaging the fender liner and hammering/cutting the pinchweld is what you’ll need at a minimum.

Most of us running 33s are running between a 2-3inch lift, UCAs or spacers, or both, and have done some space clearing.

Search should turn up lots of results you can use to determine your specific situation.

I've tried just lifting to clear 285s and you might get lucky with coil spacers and wheel spacers, but what really worked for me, and has already been stated, was pounding the pinch weld, getting a 16x8 wheel, and some SPC UCAs. Now I can stuff the wheel, turn lock to lock with no rubbing whatsoever.

You can try and do the minimum, and tinker with it until you get the result you want, but it will include the items listed above.
