Difference between grille tube and full tubing

I'll be grabbing a bumper shortly, and wondering on this one. I know tubing is to protect from animal strikes, but from what I can tell/know, a grille tube will just deflect the strike to the headlights and fender area, so you're not protecting yourself. Am I thinking about this wrong? Is there any reason to go with just a grille tube instead of full tubing?

Tubing... Say what?

If you're talking about off-road bumpers the arb deluxe is the best.

For actual offroad purpose not sure that's the best statement. ARB uses a thinner material, has more flex, and worse approach angles over like Savage, AOR, and such.

More coverage = more weight and more cost.

And then there is individual taste in aesthetics.

I did not care for the look or cost of the full tubing around the headlight so just went with the grill tube to help protect the radiator and lightbar. YMMV
