I have found in the past, if I needed a complete system I had to specify to the junk yard or person that I was looking for drum to drum.

I know it all seems like a headache now, but after all done you will like it. I used my locker last night in the fresh snow going home.

Yeah my mistake on not being that specific. Whatever, itís done. Should be an interesting few weeks of work. I just wanna wheel.

Does anyone have experience with installing a 1st gen Tacoma rear 3rd member elocker to a 00 3rd gen 4wd? Just the pumpkin? Are there any driveshaft modifications needed? Reason is I want to stay 4.10 because I'm not going any larger than 33" tires I have currently.

Thanks in advanced!

should not be an issue as long as your current one is a locker rear end, otherwise pumpkins are not just plug and play.
the housing is different and either needs to be modified to accept a locker pumpkin or find a locker differential housing.. ( cutting , grinding, drilling and threading for new studs and you need to be right on the money on all of that)
no driveshaft modifications I know of.

Also , if this is new to the car...not an elocker car before, I advise doing the gray wire mod.....Id even do the mod if it was originally an elocker car......but that's just me.

1st gen taco and 3rd gen 4runner 3rds interchange, but as was said above. Non-locker housings need modified time fit a locker 3rd.

Taco housings differ from 4runner housings. Spring perches, brake lines, ABS, shock mounts, panhard bar mounts differ.
