P0171

So I have the dreaded P0171 code that I have been chasing around.

Just to see if anyone else has had this specific accompanying symptom.

Mine only comes on when at idle. It comes and goes. Ill reset it and it will stay off for 2-3 weeks. Here's the rub though.. The light will flicker. Not a flashing indicated a severe misfire or anything like that, but flickers as if a sensor isn't making contact? Will go off for a couple of seconds then stay on. Then flickers then stays on constant.

Thoughts?

I've been some aftermarket, non denso, O2 sensors precat. I cannot remember what I put on post cat?

Also check engine ground by diagnostic plug (aka 'sensor ground.')

Here's the cause of the 0171 on mine a while back, check the rubber intake 'hoses' leading from air cleaner to intakes. Luck.
