3rd Gen Sag over the front end

Hi All,

Having some other bits done on the truck but its always annoyed me how it sits a little lower over the front end. I'm getting the bonnet and front bumper sprayed so it'll be looking smart, so i'd like to get this sorted.

I know a lot have a little bit of rake but I really dont like how it looks... it had a 2" lift with shocks and springs only around 18months ago by the previous owner so I'm confident they're fine. I've asked the garage (Toyota 4x4 specialist) who are currently working on the truck (master cylinder, hub bearing etc) to look over the suspension and they see no issue.

I guess my question is - am I going to have to buy 3" springs to fit for the front, but I was aware things *can* potentially become more involved when lifting more than a couple of inches?

Pic attached - looks worse because of the angle I took the photo but you can see the difference in arch gap!)

Thoughts?

Cheers

It looks more like you have a 1-2" front lift and a 3-4" rear lift to my eyes.

The 'standard' height is ~20" from center of the hub to the fender lip. Measure your's and see where you currently stand.

Do you know what parts were used for the lift on your 4Runner?

-Charlie

PS. Sorry, you are going to have to convert over to metric.

Id also agree it looks like the rear has a larger lift. It looks like my rear end and i have the icon 2.0 shocks with toytech superflex coils.

A spacer under your coilovers could get you closer to where you want to be, or you can swap out the rear springs to something with less lift. That is easier IMO.

I would try a 1.5"/2" spacers in the front, pretty cheap and easy. Also shouldn't hurt the way it rides.

Interesting...

I'll give it a measure when I get the truck back this week. I like the height of it over the rear, but doesnt a bigger lift than 2" result in other suspension components needing to be changed?

I didn't think spacers under the coils was an option for the front end? Or am I mistaken?

Not sure if that picture makes it look worse than it is... here's a couple of others
