Exhaust leak now it's my turn
I'm on my 2nd TRD exhaust. The Previous units were replaced under lifetime Warranty. Now I believe It's time again... I went back to the dealer but this time i'm told that they don't make a TRD exhaust anymore..
I haven't been under there to Verify what is exactly going on under there. My question is that if i have to replace muffler and or pipes.. What's everyone using these days? what sounds good to everyone? I'll start scouring for Audio files. The Old system was a "throaty" type sound which i really liked.
Thanks

So more than gaskets are needed?
That's all that blows on my exhaust from long time to long time....

So what’s the point of “life time” warranty?

Even though they don't have the lifetime part anymore they should continue to honor the lifetime warranty forward another possible out come could be they may refund the cost of the lifetime part ? I would make sure to keep my receipts of the TRD part.

Pics of the exhaust and where did it fail/break? I know Toyota used at least two different manufacturers for their TRD exhausts so there may be a readily available (universal) aftermarket muffler.
PS and that avatar pic

Just put a JBA stainless muffler & tail pipe on mine, nice sound, good fit, $399.00 from Summit.

Good question.
I already used that Warranty the first time it rusted through.. Toyo didn't give me any lip on that one... they asked me when i wanted to come in and have it swapped out. The same dealer told me now that they dont even make the TRD exhaust anymore. I guess that is the end of that.. I'm going to ask other dealerships and see if maybe they can figure out something.. I'll snap a few photos and post em up so we can see EXACTLY where the failures are.

Yea deff check with other dealers. You should be getting free parts if they are going to advertise that. Unless “lifetime” has a number of years written in fine print somewhere.

They can't replace what's been discontinued
