You can also try a smoke machine, but I don't think a small leak would cause you so many issues.
That works best on major leaks on an intake. The flammable spray fluid test. A vaccuum hose leak can be difficult to find at times. As sometimes the components fail and will create the leak as well. This one of the reasons why Toyota moved to more electric sensors as time when on to get away from vaccum issues.

UPDATE:

So after a bunch of craziness in 2 different threads. A bunch of tests. A slew of parts.
I noticed a low output of the alternator. I went to the junkyard and pulled a unit. Replaced my reman and it looks like that has been my issue.

50 miles in 2 days. Long idle times. Stop and go. Just got back in which I purposely waited for typical Florida monsoon to run the headlights-a/c-radio and run it through its paces. NO CODES

Before it wouldn't idle sometimes for 5 mins in the driveway.

I will update this thread again if anything changes.

I always hated when I search a topic and no known fix ever happened.

So far so good.

Those brushes didn't look bad to be honest. I pulled those out first thing.

VR or diode block then. I’d check the diode block with a multi-meter that has a diode checker and if it checks good I’d replace the VR.
