I was planning on the 3rd gen clutch pedal rebuild, already pulled it out to assess the situation (put it back in so I can drive it). Got all the new factory parts ready. Tim your videos are the best BTW.

Love your movies!!! Here are some ideas that came to mind:
- how to re-cover a seat
- how to have heated seats
- how to determine if catalytic converter is clogged enough to cause problems (some sort of simple test without attempting to remove it).
- how to rebuild a rack (or pro/con for rebuilding yourself or buy new one from toyota)
- how to methodically test and identify which component in steering system is causing play at the steering wheel. From tip to toe, LCA's bushing thru the steering shaft (the rack rubber bushings are the common issue, but if not one of the usual suspects, it can be hard to isolate the issue).

background on the steering idea:
On mine, I think the u-joint, that is not visible, is causing this (but can't figure out easy way to isolate it to test it (lock it on one side and ck steering wheel play), I've replaced rack rubber bushing (per your video) and spring on guide (per your video), checked for shaft issue (per your video), replaced LBJ's (per you video), replaced LCA bushing (that was a great video), cked tie rods. Maybe need new rack, but how can one make sure this is the problem?

I'm in your area and working on my 3rd gen this week. I'm working on a number of projects one worth filming could be my drivers window issue. If I use the auto up function it comes back down half way. I have the panel off trying to diagnose the cause. I believe the glass is mounted too high causing a sensor to think a finger is in the track when it closes all the way.

I'm game. The available room and lighting in my garage isn't great so I've been choosing to film more jobs in my driveway these days. If the weather doesn't cooperate though, we could film in the garage. If you think you have the fix figured out and you have the needed parts, if any, pm me and we'll set up a date and time.

In regards to wheel bearing replacement no need to do a new video; if folks (who aren't overly mechanically inclined) can't put 2 and 2 together (myself included here) just title a new video "front wheel bearing replacement" and link it to your manual hub conversion and mark the time it starts in video and as users we can do that much!! But at least that way we know a video covering it exists and don't need to search out other sources. You could always retitle existing vid but this way it keeps it cleaner and prolly an easier search!

Personally ive used a bunch of your vids!! Just did Billie 4600's this past wknd on the rear (Not too stiff imo). thanks for the spring replacement and shock bushing vid!!

If I could make a humble suggestion...from my experience...this is what I do and Id bet others do same.

When I know I have a job coming up on my 4R that I want to do in future, if Ive got some extra time I'll watch it in advance, sometimes 3 or even 4 times just to familiarize myself with the job but then once I'm actually ready to order the parts I find myself going back to the videos to confirm part#s depending on job and it would be OH soo helpful to go through All part #s at beginning of your and Seans videos that way when anyone wants to reference we don't need to find at what point in vid you do part #. My issue is I'm not an overly organized person, so even if I do write down part#s while watching by time I'm actually ordering ive lost or misplaced my list and I spend a fair bit of time finding the mark at which point part #s are covered.

Let me be clear because at no point should yourself or Sean be held accountable for part #s source not what I'm saying at all, that's on us!! But it would always be a consistent easy check and cross reference if all part#s were 1st thing in vids.

lastly this rant is almost over....but while doing my rear shocks this past wknd on my Cdn rust belt 99, both my top nuts simply broke off thank goodness and do you think I was wise enough to follow your advice on the 17mm ratcheting box wrench? Oh nooo... I was too smart for that, was in my driveway till after midnight picking up tools. But I think you guys should do a vid using a rust belt 4Runner and bleep out all the cussing just so us East Coasters can watch with the satisfaction of knowing others share our demise and frustration of doing a job that takes us twice + the time it normally should(ratcheting box wrench aside) This is my demented/warped side talking sorry ;) surely there's a salt belt 4Runner somewhere in California dying to make an appearance on ToolTime.

Personally I 2nd a heated seat upgrade/mod if its reasonable to do and also like most of us I need better headlights but not willing to spend 100's so if there also a reasonable upgrade there that would also be good. I find there's too much mixed info on that subject.

Thanks for the suggestions. In regards to the part numbers, we list them either in the video description or a pinned comment along with links to the tools we used. I recently went through all the videos, so you should be able to find all the part numbers you need by looking in those two locations. Along with the part numbers, the video descriptions and pinned comments will contain other helpful information like links to websites and updates on the job. We sometimes learn we could have done something different or better and we share that with our audience. So, please always check these areas for information.

Now, would I purposely seek out a rusted mess of a rig to work on? Probably not. I like how spoiled we are and I already curse enough when doing these jobs.

I think maybe Sean knows how to heated seat upgrade and I'll check with him on it.

Those projector headlight mods are cool and maybe we'll shoot something about them or a more affordable alternative to them one day.

Tim, I held off on my clutch pedal rebuild if you're still interested in filming it. It's a straightforward driveway R&R/bench repair job.
Let me know, I was just digging back into this rig, prepping for a clutch replacement soon, it's still on the OG clutch.

Just an idea for you. The clutch pedal torsion spring is a crummy design. I have all the original records for my truck and the PO took it back to the dealership about every 30k to complain about the squeaky clutch pedal. After I bought it I cut off the arm that engages the torsion spring and added an extension spring to compensate. Pedal force increased very, very slightly but now its a no-nonsense pedal. More than 40k miles after doing this mod and it still works perfectly.

Yeah, I'm still game. Just so you know, I'm one of those insane people that don't believe in wearing a mask. When I'm not forced to, for my job as a firefighter and to enter a store to buy things I need, I don't wear the damn things. If you're cool with that, let's shoot it.
