Roof rack rail removal - torx size?

Hi guys,

I want to take my roof rails off and am curious what size I need as I don't want to risk stripping them.

Thanks!

idk the specific number. I would just buy a set and try them all until one fits solid. They come in handy more than you think. I have a socket set and also one of these.

I just checked, T25 according to my tool. I've taken plenty of them off.

You took the words right out of my mouth. OP, if you don't own a set, buy one. They come in very handy like @calimobber said. You know how you figure out which one is correct? You look at the size of the head, and you take a guess. If you guessed too big, try a smaller one from your set. If you guessed too small, try a bigger one from your set. It's just like figuring out which socket to use, wrench to use, or screwdriver to use when you're doing some work on your rig. You pick the one that fits and fits the tightest so you don't strip it.

Thanks fellas, I figured it out after seeing that Gobi included a T25 wrench with the new roof rack! Doh!

Finished product.
