Any concern with buying used Kings?

Looking at buying some used Kings from a 1st Gen Tacoma. I know that they will need to be rebuilt, but is there anything else that I should be concerned about, buying these? Unknown how many miles are on them or the lb of the spriongs, but they're asking $550 for them. Where is the part number located so I can ask more questions?

since you already plan to rebuild them I don't think I would be too concerned, just determine if the price plus the cost to rebuild is worth it over buying new (I don't know what they cost new)

Those look a little beat...But maybe they’re just dirty.

How much is a rebuild? I paid $1,100 for new mine. Also curious, what’s the spring rate?

Ya, don't have much info if it's just dirt or the spring rate.

I got a quote for $150/shock for a rebuild and they're asking $500 for the shocks. I think I might just hold off and buy some new ones if there is ever a sale.

I would say you made the right call. I ended up buying these for 500, and had to spend another 450 to get them rebuilt. 2 new shafts a 1 new piston. And when you get a pair take them to rock and road for tuning and rebuilding they seem cheaper. They are a custom 4x4 shop buy ruff stuff in loomis
