I just did a complete refresh of my front suspension, new Energy suspension poly bushings, new cv axles, new OEM Toyota upper and lower ball joints, Energy Suspension steering rack bushings, and Moog inner tie rod ends.
I took my rig over to 4 Wheel Parts in Van Nuys for an alignment and they called me back at the end of the day to say they could not do the alignment because my inner tie rod ends were bad. I asked if they had the right vehicle because mine are brand new. The guy pretty much ignored what I said and started to say he had a quote for the repairs and if I wanted to go ahead with them doing the work. I told them thanks but no thanks.....
When I went to pick up my rig they even had the mechanic come out and tell me how bad my tie rods are at which point the manager made a big production and show of getting me to sign paperwork saying that I am responsible for this unsafe vehicle and not to drive it away.
While I was standing there waiting for their "mechanic" to come speak with me....they had 2 other guys on the phones with customers giving them the same "your vehicle is too unsafe to drive....you need to get us to fix it or sign paperwork saying we told you this vehicle is unsafe to drive.
I started to doubt myself...am I so crazy that I forgot to install the inner tie rods? I went home and pulled the boots back and even removed the outer tie rod ends to check for play....All good. I even had my neighbor (a 35year toyota mechanic who retired last week.....I am still hung over from his retirement party) double check my work....He said ALL GOOD and recommended not going back to 4Wheel Parts.
I cant understand how a shop like that can think so little of its customers. I mean how dumb do you think I am. When a guy comes in with a built up rig DIY plate bumpers, DIY winch install etc.....get a clue....the dude probably can see through your bullshit.
Just wanted to give you guys a heads up.

not all the 4 wheel parts places are equal. I've used the 1 in Redondo for years, the one on Burbank once and the one in Tucson. The Tucson 1 is the worst by far and I only get parts delivered there and never have them work on any of my rigs. They installed some bs non OEM springs on my son's 4th gen when they did the 5100 install and tried to say it wasn't them. We just picked the car up from you and the car leans to 1 side because the spring was the wrong length and type. Get this I Never wanted them to touch the springs just change the shocks and struts. Tucson 4 wheel parts are worth the energy and time that it took to write this post. I took the car to Redondo when the car was in LA and the got my rear springs fixed for $500.00 but now it rides like it should and has zero lean
