Covid 19 directly translates to more garage time. Thought I could handle body lift and coilovers on my own. Body lift? Yes. No problems. One man job. Coilovers? Nope!
Anyways, installed the following with my friend Ed bailing my ass out!
-Toytec 1” body lift
-Toytec ultimate 3” coilovers
-17x10 offset -18 Fuel Shok Anthracite
-285/70/17 BFG KM3
Of note, installed body lift first. Which was helpful with the coilover install. I encountered extremely stiff steering with body lift install due to tension on the steering shaft. Need to loosen 12 mm bolt on c clamp right above the rag joint to relieve this tension, (once loosened pull shaft to and fro rack). This solved the stiff steering issue entirely. Toytec needs to include this step with their body lift install instructions.

I think I'm more interested in the car in the garage next to it... what is that? I spy an intercooler...

That is my race car. Full carbon fiber bodied Nissan GTR. That build is well documented on Instagram. Link below.

Both cars are being built for entirely different, but very specific purposes. I attempt to address their strengths and weaknesses with my choice in modifications.

As much as I love my 3rd gen it will never be better than her 2018 Trd 5th gen. The 5th gen ride especially on a long trip is so much better in every category and still gets 20+ mpg. My Tundra is a beast of a truck yet I drive the hell out of the 3rd gen. I do love watching you guys supercharger a 3rd gen. My 3rd gen will stay stock because even when I 4 wheel with it is fun doing it with this simple basic truck void of any technology.

Got the URD AIC running properly today. Up until now it was not seeing boost and only adjusting timing. After a bunch of swear words and blowing into the line to test it’s integrity I finally found the culprit. It was a defective T connector that was blocked on one end... Anyway, drilled out the blocked T connector, reconnected the boost line and started tuning. Got rid of the high gear low rpm ping and the ping at 4500 rpm with pulling timing earlier, (or “adding retard” the politically incorrect way to say it). Added some fuel and upgraded to 2.1” pulley today.
Pulls great. No ping whatsoever. Drivability is awesome. Gadget at URD did a great job on the AIC. Very happy with this mod. Now I need a wide band O2 sensor to dial in the fuel.

Any plans with that 2.2 pulley?

@ Formidable
I made some progress on the aluminum fender liners, I know you were excited to see them produced when you had your 4th gen.
Maybe it'll give you some ideas for your 3rd gen. Here's the link:

Eye candy. Can’t wait to get these installed. Three years since I first purchased these along with stainless ARP studs, had them ceramic coated 2000 degree satin grey ice at performance coatings in Auburn Washington.

Get ready for a fight! TRD headers are notoriously hard to put on, especially the crossover pipe in the back.

Gorgeous headers- like jewelry!
You may want to Saran-wrap them, and then place a layer of blue masking tape over the saran wrap during install.
Install is a bear... Would hate to see them all scratched up from install.

I'm glad you said that! I also did not install my DT headers. Even though they are "easier" than TRD headers it was more than I wanted to take on. Also required welding which I don't have the equipment for.
You'll like the end result but they sure are pricey. I see you found my header post already. You'll find yourself staying out of boost more often since you'll have more low-end power under vacuum than before. It's just so dang pricey.

For members curious about the wheel and tire setup. The offset is aggressive. Body lift highly recommended in addition to suspension lift if you go with this setup. I have no rub on the front mud guard or body mount at caster set at zero. Mild rub on edge of front bumper fender flares within the fender at full clock reverse. This was resolved with 1cm trimming of the fender flare.

I had Torfab in Everett Washington install and address the following. Will update with pics soon.
-TRD headers
-ARP stainless studs. I was worried the broach would be too long for these TRD headers. They worked out according to Torfab.
-URD crank pulley
-Champion radiator
-Icon delta joint UCA’s
-Innovate wideband O2 sensor and gauge
-Glow shift boost gauge
-Flexpod steering column 52mm gauge holders
-Reseal valve cover
