90-97 rear shocks is what you'd be after.
Looking at my Tacoma which sits at about 2.5" above stock rode height I do have probably an inch and a half between bumpstop and frame. That is with a stock bumpstop, I don't know how much taller the aftermarket ones are, but in order to get below a quarter inch I'd be nearly at full stuff. Probably 4.5-5" of wheel travel. If your truck was sitting that low it'd be blatantly obvious, so the bumpstops very well could be part of the problem.
In theory your soft front springs should help the ride to a point, that is unless they are too soft and bottoming out under regular driving conditions. I had this happen before I switched from 600lb to 700lb springs on my coil overs, jarring to say the least and very slow to recover. If this is the problem it would only get worse with more weight, and moving the spring perch up is NOT a good solution, as that would over-preload the spring and sacrifice even more ride quality and performance
