Will The Real WOOD GRAIN DASH BEZEL Please Stand Up!

I know there has been a ton of posts about limited wood dash bezel but everything if found is from like 15 years ago! I was doing the taco whip mod and broke the bezel when removing it like and idiot I got too impatient. Now I’m looking for a replacement and though I nailed it online for 120 bucks and turns out it was just f****** stickers. Now I’m a little hesitant to order anything because nowhere did it say it was adhesive. Any ideas fellas? CHEERS!🤙🏽

I just went through this with my 2000 Limited. The general consensus seemed to be that the wood grain bezels are notoriously brittle, so if you plan to replace it, I'd do everything in your capacity to make sure you won't be removing it again for a very long time. I'd replace the climate control bulbs, transmission shifter bushings, etc. because you're likely to crack the replacement when you remove it again.

My original bezel broke years ago when I replaced my radio even though I was being very careful. It continued to crack and chip...so I bought a replacement when they were still cheap and easy to find...and it cracked in storage before I even had the chance to use it.

I just put a black bezel on even though my truck has the classic "wood" trim. The black bezel looks fine and these are far more durable. Someone that doesn't know 4Runners wouldn't even know it's not the original. I'd go black and never look back.

Plenty available on eBay.....for models up to '98!

I wonder if they must made more of the '96 - '98 models or if the earlier versions aren't cracking so easily? I've been holding the back of mine together with super glue and small plastic add-on pieces for years. No major signs of cracking from the front side, but it's only a matter of time.

Wonder what it would take to use one of the older versions. I know the clock is over the the left vs in the center. At least you would gain a couple of nifty cup holders!

Made ofa a different type of plastic I think, plus the overall design makes them weaker around the hazard button/clock area, and people pry on and shatter them.
