Linking flood/spot lights to door chime?

There has been a couple of times I've accidentally turned them on without knowing while cleaning or working on my car and I am just curious if there would be a way to link it up to the door chime like when the keys are in the ignition or you leave your lights on when you are about to get out of the vehicle. Just something to alert me incase it happens and I don't notice it. Would hate to kill the battery by accident.

Oh oh oh!

We need to get one if the bells from an old 90s Honda. The nice, gentle, Ding ding, ones. I think it would be pretty cool to have some kind of custom noise setup versus using the built-in dinger.

Are your lights positively or negatively switched?

I can draw you a circuit.

I'm not sure to be honest. I tried looking up the difference between the two but I am still not sure. This is the harness I used hopefully you'd be able to tell by looking at it? If not, and you are willing to tell me how to figure it out, I would definitely get on that asap. Thank you.

I recall seeing a video a few years ago where someone made their door chime the song africa by toto. Was pretty badass honestly.

Eh, can't really tell from that. Most of those are positive switched, but can you post the wiring diagram that came with it / what you did?

Going to make a guess here - if that grey wire from the switch measures as a switched +12V, use the following diagram. This is from a 2000, so the wire colors could change... If the grey wire from the switch measures as a switched ground, skip the relay and wire directly to the unlock warning switch.

This will make the lights appear as if the key were still in the ignition - with the ignition off and the driver door open, it will continue to chime even after the key is removed.

Thank you! This is perfect. I will get on this and let you know how it went. I appreciate you taking the time to figure this out for me.
