Rear bumper with swing-out tire carrier
Looking for a rear bumper like the title, or a group buy coming up
I know we are in the middle of a pandemic but we have to have something to look forward to.

I desperately wanted a savage rear bumper swing out to match my savage front, but he has discontinued them. I ended up ordering an Addicted Offroad bumper as it was the closest to match the savage style, and purchased a swing down tire hitch carrier. Not the best, but it works. If you actually live near Addicted Offroad, he will build a swingout for you. You just have to drop the truck off.
Pic was from last year, dont mind the rear sag, as it was loaded with my hunting gear before airbags.

That looks pretty good. Doesn't stick way out so the departure angle isn't compremised. However that tab for the tire carrier looks pretty vulnerable??? Is the tab welded on?

i would looooove to get plate bumpers but i spent 1k on the truck itself and about twice that on the block-up rebuild, hard to justify that cost at this point but maybe someday.
decided to build a swingout keeping the factory bumper and while it will never be as nice as one of these, so far its cost me a $50 hinge and about $100 bucks in remnant steel.
lets be honest, i needed a big project during all this crap anyhow

For a hot second I was thinking about a hitch flip and modifying a SmittyBuilt rear tire carrier by cutting and grafting it to 2"x2"x3/16" profile square tube, and welding that to a hitch extension to make a removable rear tire swing-out - but no time or space
Something like this as a base
At this point, it's easier to buy one

That doesn't sound too bad at all. My Shrockworks rear cost me about $1600 shipped(GB pricing) and took about 4 months to arrive. I do like my 4x front bumper.

thats totally fair, im bored and love cutting and practicing melting metal then grinding when it looks like poo.
I got very very close to buying a secondhand one multiple times to retrofit. Ended up deciding to start fresh and really solidly mounted to the frame.
