As far as I know, all Limited models had an automatic trans? Ahh, nevermind, I see you're in Canada, so perhaps they had manual LImiteds there.

If the donor is a manual with a factory locker, you might be in luck - 'often' V6 manual lockers 4Runners have 4.10 diffs, the same as V6 automatic non-lockers. V6 automatic lockers tend to be 4.30. So you might get lucky and not need to swap your front diff.

And generally speaking, it's easier to swap the entire axle. The housing and bolt pattern isn't the same between locker and non-locker axles. Non-locker housings can be modded to fit a locker, but it's not entirely easy (notching the opening, sealing some holes, drilling and tapping some others).

I think you're possibly less likely to have your SR5 pre-wired for a locker, I think some (later model? not sur) Limiteds are more likely to be pre-wired. Look under the rear left side set where the fuel pump wiring sits (under the carpet). If there's an empty plug there you may be in luck. Otherwise, you'll have some wiring to add.

If it's a manual I can pretty much guarantee it isn't Limited. It might be a Sport with fender flares that look like a Limited.
