Hey @midcoma , please add me to the list for the full disc brake, e-brake, and brake line conversion kits. I’m ready to purchase anytime you have the stock available — I have a ‘99 Limited.

Thanks!

Interested in it raw if you have it. I’m a hand plater for a living so I can plate it myself and save you a step.

No. If people bothered to read the thread, you'd see he's currently dealing with his military duties and will be available later on.

I remember those days on CG-56. In the 6 years I was in, usually we were in port at Norfolk during the crappiest weather. 34 degrees and raining all the time.

Spent 5 with the Marines; 2/8 for 4 and 1 with 10th Reg; then 3 in NHCL; now Naval Medical Center Camp LeJeune.

It looks like a quality product. And I’m sure there’s a big market for it. It would be good if there were some orderly way to figure out how to purchase.

edit: The instructions that come with this product are impressive as hell. Attention to detail and nothing left to chance. Excellent work!

I made brackets for my 93 extra cab pick up using the same calipers. Like so many other folks, I never got around to working out a solution to the parking brake cable. Thanks for doing the brain work on that.

If I remember correctly the calipers from the Mustang GT could be used, but the bracket has to be from the cobra Mustang to accommodate the width of the Toyota rotor. I ended up using regular mustang calipers and buying the Cobra brackets from AutoZone. And again I’m relying on memory about something I did almost 10 years ago.

I still have my drawings and patterns for making the brackets. They would need some slight alteration to work with my current Toyota which is a third GEN 4runner, however, it takes a lot of effort to one off a pair of brackets. I think I prefer buying them ready to go his time, along with that slick p-brake setup.

I'm not sure and I don't have a 95 Pickup to test it on.

I know that the brackets will fit a non-ABS 1st Gen Tacoma. The brake lines will not fit. The parking brake assembly would take a lot of effort to make it work. For example, on my Tacoma, the center console is removed, a 4Runner parking brake handle is installed next to the driver seat, the cable goes through a hole in the back wall, and the junction bracket is bolted under the bed.

Here's the long overdue update.

I reported to my new assignment in October, and as is fairly obvious from my absence on the forum, I haven't had a lot of time to work on this project. Take the long hours at work/travel, and the fact that I have young children, it just isn't practical for me to get these kits put together and shipped out. So I've come to the decision that I'll sell the inventory I have and that will most likely be the last of these kits. Thank you for all the great feedback and praise and I hope that this run helped the community.

I have a total of 19 parking brake kits remaining. That will be the limiting item for full kit availability. Once those are gone, I do have a few more conversion brackets that I can assemble brake lines for.

I will give priority to the people who have already shown interest. There are more than 19 people on this list, but there are also a lot of people I haven't heard from in a long time. For the following people, please let me know if you're still interested. I'll also reach out to the people who provided contact information.

Life happens, and I for one do appreciate your efforts in putting this together. I was going to wait to get in line, but I think I'd better hop on now before it's too late. If there becomes enough room for a full kit (brackets, lines, and ebrake cable conversion) now then I'm interested. If not then hopefully I can make it on the list for when you have time to make more with the rest of your parts. Thanks again for putting all this together!
